L.I: To connect to the Whenua around PBS

For this task we looked at most of the streets around panmure (panmure bridge school) Most of the streets near us have a name of someone for example: Allenby Road takes its name from a soldier named Edmund Allenby, Allenby is a soldier from world war 1, and fought the turkish in palestine. Sir Edmund Allenby led the Egyptian Expeditionary Force to victory in Palestine and Syria in 1917 and 1918.

I enjoyed this task because I found information I did not know about.

LI: To leaders we admire

In this task we could choose any leaders such as a prime minister, a sport captain and many more.

I researched and wrote the reasons why I admire titokowaru, I admire him because he was responsible for organising a campaign against Government forces by gathering picked fighting men around him from neighbouring tribes and this is one of the few things he did as the chief of Ngati Huarine. 

I enjoyed this task because I learnt more about titokowaru.

LI: To design our names as taniwhas

In this task we used our names and mad Taniwha out of it and to design our names as taniwhas, My design was just a taniwha face and my names with a taiaha. I had inspiration from other people because I could’nt find a good design.

I enjoyed this task because I got to make my name as a Taniwha.

For our task we had to do a DLO of what a prototype is.

First I had to choose between doing my DLO on google slide or google draw, then went on twinkle to see what it meant, A prototype is a test, or original, model of a product or improvements, upgrades or changes can be made.

Next I wrote:

Not using the prototype correctly give misleading and harmful ideas about the product.

A prototype is a first version of one thing. 

A prototype is an early version of a product from which future versions are developed. 

Lastly I wrote this blog, I enjoyed this task because I got to learn about prototype, I need to improve on writing more, I did well at writing still.

We had to make a design for a pencil case and a bookmarks.

First I traced a picture of a pencil case, my first design was to make a pencil case of stars and 2 croses.

Next, my secound design was to make a plain one of just red with just stars. Then I needed to make my bookmark.

Lastly I thought of my design and it was to trace charizard and squirtle.

Fakaalofa lahi atu! This week is Niuean Language Week.  Our task was to create a two different posters to do with the Niuean language and culture and practice introducing ourselves.  The first was a poster with phrases and greetings in Niuean language.  The second was a fact file with different information about Niue. On the last slide I have introduced myself in Niuean.  I have learnt that Koe kia means Goodbye.  I have also learnt that Niuean Population  is  1’935

I need to improve on speaking the niue

I enjoyed this task because I got to learn about  Niuean Language Week 

Today we did this task for fijian language week.

First we had to do this fact file where there was some ideas or things we had to reasearch first thing was what the reasearch was, the capital city suva, labeled map of fiji, Languages spoken in Fiji, Official languages.

Then I Did Continent Fiji is in, Currency, Government, National Day Religions in Fiji, Famous Fijian people, , The climate of Fiji. 

Lastly I put the flag of Fiji on and then I had to takea phot of me and someone else and say in fijian whats your name: (O cei na yacamu) and make it respond with taniela for daniel.

We had to class assignments by play quest/games.

First game I did was where I had to press an icon of water or meat and I had to do a challenge to finish and the animal and a bar on the bottom of a line 3 lines and when you get passed one line you evovle.

Next game i did was a old man doing chemistry i dont know what happened it skipped that level so i couldn’t do it, the third game was where you could hire people to chop trees and make money and could mine coal.

Last game was nothing because there was only 3 quests and this gave me 100 coins.

Today I had to learn about our personal space.

First I made a DLO talking about what the importance of personal space like going to the mall, school, shops etc. Personal space helps us feel more comfortable not touching people without permission.

Next I wrote more information: personal space is important because it helps people feel safe and comfortable. If someone invades your personal space, it can feel quite uncomfortable and unwanted. Some children don’t understand what personal space is, so they may need gentle reminders.

Lastly I wrote even more information: Why Space is Essential. Every healthy relationship needs space from time to time. Giving ourselves space that is separate from our relationship allows us to still maintain individuality. Having physical space or uninterrupted time to ourselves allows us to pay closer attention to our emotions.

Today we did an experiment about dancing raisins.

First we had to get into a group and then we had to get the materials: Jar, Cashew ( Nuts ) and raisins. and poured sprite into the jar and put the raisins in the jar.

Next we saw that the raising started to float up to the top and then sink back to the bottom, then we put the cashews into it and it started doing the same thing.

Lastly we had to write what was happening in the experiment: During my experiment I observed that : When the raisins went in it started floating and the sinking, and the cashew had spikes on it. It also bounces off the water.
